Decarbonisation of the energy sources is a challenge for numerous countries and an energy mix is under construction at the global scale where Marine Renewable Energy will play a major role. The main actors of this emerging sector are planning important investments. For offshore windfarm, tidal-turbine farms or wave energy farms, specific vessels are necessary for all of the project phases from survey, installation up to maintenance.

MAURIC has developed vessel designs perfectly adapted to this sector, based on sea-proven vessels already operating in offshore conditions. Indeed, we design vessels suitable for survey, exploitation, maintenance and transport in Offshore Wind Farm. With the design of the Bibby Tethra, MAURIC entered this market by presenting an innovative concept of vessel based on a sea-proven hull form. This concept is a solution allowing increasing significantly the operability of the vessel in survey conditions in the harsh environment. With this philosophy of proposing to ship operators’ tailor-made solutions to optimize operability based on sea-proven concepts, MAURIC has demonstrated that innovation is always the key factor for delivering cost-breaker concepts that allows accessing new markets. Because the safety of crew and special personnel are our main goal when designing vessels, we rely for our designs on proven technology at sea and our expertise in hull form designs. As cost is also a key driver of the sector, we develop multi-mission and polyvalent vessel designs more efficient, easy to maintain and able to perform operations by high sea-states.
