Research and Survey

Research and Survey at sea requires specific vessels equipped with complex survey and scientific equipment perfectly integrated for the safety and efficiency of the campaigns. These vessels shall be designed keeping in mind the safety and comfort of the crew, while increasing their operability and seakeeping or facilitating the integration equipment such as hydrographic, bathymetric, oceanographic or seismic tools or unmanned vehicles and underwater robots.

MAURIC gained an extensive experience in the design of survey and research vessels and propose a wide range of hydrographic boats, survey catamaran and offshore research vessels. Active in the fields of Oil and Gas, Marine Renewable Energy and scientific research, MAURIC survey and research vessels are sailing all over the world for locating oil and gas fields, surveying the sea bed for future installation of offshore wind farms, or collecting amphora from the wreck of a galley. We build-up our know-how for complex scientific and survey sensor integration on board our platform working in close collaboration with equipment suppliers and future operators. To achieve operational efficiency, we first focus on delivering a stable and comfortable platform to facilitate work onboard, launch and recovery of survey equipment, tenders, unmanned vehicles (AUV, USV, UAV) and ROV. Our close collaboration with ECA GROUP, specialist of unmanned and robotized vehicles for exploring the oceans, help us to prepare our designs to future requests of operators. We offer sea-proven solutions from simple hydrographic launches for coastal and harbour operations, to specialized semi-swath catamaran for operations in high sea states or large monohull platforms for survey, scientific research or subaquatic archaeology.
