Alcyone

ALCYONE is a 31m long full aluminium vessel designed for carrying scientific expeditions all around the world. This innovative and environnementaly friendly ship crossed seas and oceans to study sea life. Resulting from the collaboration between André MAURIC, the naval architect, and Commandant Cousteau, the explorer, Alcyone is a sea proven mono-catamaran with an hybrid propulsion system using turbosails and diesel generators. The hull of this vessel has been optimized to be adapted to the mixed-propulsion.
